Raiders vs. Bears: 3 X-factors on defense for Week 4

Los Angeles Clippers

The Las Vegas Raiders‘ defense needs a bounce-back performance versus the Chicago Bears in Week 4. They are fresh off a performance where they allowed 41 points in a Week 3 defeat to the Washington Commanders. Meanwhile the Bears offense exploded to score 31 in a blowout victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

The challenge will be sizable against Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams. We’ve identified three Raiders defenders who need to be X-factors.

Thomas Booker, DT

Thomas Booker played his worst game of the season against the Commanders. He recorded zero quarterback pressures. The Bears have a revamped interior offensive line that is still capturing chemistry, so Booker needs to test their limits.

Malcolm Koonce, EDGE

Malcolm Koonce put forth a nightmare performance in Week 3. The former Buffalo standout had an overall Pro Football Focus grade of 29.0. Koonce had just one quarterback pressure. He needs to make Williams uncomfortable in the pocket.

Eric Stokes, CB

Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze has been among the league’s brightest breakout stars of the 2025 season. Odunze has totaled 16 receptions for 227 yards and four touchdowns. Raiders cornerback Eric Stokes could draw that assignment more often than Kyu Blu Kelly does. Stokes has been up-and-down this season, and the Bears’ sophomore wideout is currently on fire.
