Antonio Pierce appeared to have a very bright future in coaching after he took over the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023. In the wake of Josh McDaniels’ firing, Pierce led the team to a 5-4 record as interim coach, which helped him earn interviews for head coaching jobs around the NFL before the Raiders took the “interim” tag off his title. Despite his success as a linebackers coach and previous promise as a head coach, no team hired Pierce to be a part of their coaching staff for the 2025 season.
