Arizona Cardinals rookie linebacker Jordan Burch was wide-eyed when he arrived at the team’s practice facility in Tempe in May for mini-camp, still grasping his new life as an NFL player. Burch, a third-round selection out of Oregon, joins a team that made bolstering its defense the priority in the offseason and he’s focused on the work it takes to carve out his role. At six-foot-four and 280 pounds, Burch has the size and talent to be a much-needed game-wrecker for the Cardinals as he continues to develop and learn what it takes to operate as a pro. “From the outside looking in, you don’t really know much about the NFL… But finally getting here, you kind of can see like they’re hands-on and they want you to be great at what you do,” Burch said.
