LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is one of the most iconic basketball players of all time, a historic performer who has done just about everything during his many years in the league.
He will continue to earn his place in the history books until he retires and will keep reaching new milestones.
James recently talked about what it means to hit 50,000 career points.
For him, it’s not just about a number.
“I don’t think it’s about the record, I just think it’s a microcosm of my career, of my hard work and dedication to my craft and my love for the game,” James said.

The number of achievements James has had during his 22 seasons in the league is astonishing.
He has done so much, but he doesn’t stop.
Even last season, at 40 years old, James averaged 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists on 51.3 percent from the field.
At this rate, he could be playing until he’s 44 or 45, and that wouldn’t surprise anyone.
The numbers are terrific, but that really doesn’t tell the full story, like James said.
They summarize how long he has played and how consistently he has been the leader of all his teams.
It seems unlikely that anyone will ever be able to top James and do what he has done.
He isn’t slowing down, and season 23 is right around the corner.
Rookie of the Year, 21-time All-Star, four-time champion, and so much more – James’ resume is packed and it’s only getting more impressive as he grows older.
