Real Madrid boycott continues
The Spanish giants continued their boycott of the ceremony following last year’s controversy when Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior lost the Ballon d’Or to Man City’s Rodri.
However reports confirm that Real Madrid didn’t prevent their other nominees from attending.
Other awards
The ceremony will also present the Kopa Trophy (best young player), the Yashin Trophy (best goalkeeper), the Johan Cruyff Trophy (coach of the year) and the club of the year award.
