On Saturday afternoon, not only did the Alabama Crimson Tide pick up a big victory on the football field against the Vanderbilt Commodores, but the program also landed a notable commitment to their 2027 recruiting class in Nash Johnson III.

According to Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett, Johnson committed to the Crimson Tide on Saturday afternoon, doing so prior to kickoff of the Vanderbilt game.

At the moment, Johnson currently ranks as the nation’s No. 551 overall prospect in the 2027 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. A three-star prospect, Johnson is also considered as the No. 55 cornerback in the 2027 class, as well as the No. 62 player in the state of Georgia where he attends McEachern High School.

Following the commitment of Johnson, Alabama’s 2027 class now boasts four commitments, with the three-star the first to come from Georgia. The Crimson Tide’s 2027 class currently ranks No. 9 best nationally, per 247Sports.
