Tennessee baseball schedules intrasquad scrimmages in Chattanooga, Nashville

Las Vegas Raiders

Tennessee baseball will play intrasquad scrimmages in Chattanooga and Nashville in October as part of the fall baseball season under coach Tony Vitello, UT announced Sept. 22.

The Vols will play at Chattanooga’s AT&T Field at 3 p.m. ET on Oct. 4 and at Nashville’s First Horizon Park at 1 p.m. ET on Oct. 26.

The Vols are coming off a fifth straight super regional appearance. They have reached the College World Series three times in those five seasons, including when they won the 2024 national championship. It marked the program’s first CWS title.

Tennessee has typically played games against other programs in the fall, but is opting for the pair of scrimmages instead this season.

UT played Western Kentucky and Troy in exhibitions at First Horizon Park in Nashville and Jackson, respectively, in October 2024.

In 2023, the Vols played Virginia Tech on Oct. 22 in Greeneville in a game hosted by Tusculum University and then faced Samford in November in Nashville. Tennessee hosted Wake Forest at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in an exhibition in October 2022 before facing Memphis in a neutral-site game in Jackson in November 2022.
